Comparatives (Lesson 27&28)

Hello Kids,
I'm working very hard to have the best activities for you in the blog, please leave a comment below telling me what activities you like to do the most.

Let's get started!

Task 1
Look at these two photos and post 10 sentences in the comments below comparing the pictures.
(Use informal comparisons, as & as)

Examples: 
Emma Watson isn't as old as Angelina Jolie. 
Angelina Jolie is as beautiful as Emma Watson. 



Examples: 
Minho is as fast as Thomas. 
Newt isn't as fast as Minho 


Jhon isn't as tall as Liam. 


Katniss isnt ...


Task 2 
Sing Along with Kareoke, 
Write the answers in your notebook 


What are the examples using "would rather"? 
How do you make the contraction of "I would"? 
What are the rules of "would? 
Practice the lyrics of the song!

What are the rules of using superlatives?

Task 4
 Go to this link and dowload Comparatives PDF answer it and hand in in class. 

Remember the rules of Comparatives. What happens when the adjective is short (one syllable) and what happens when it is long (more than one syllable)? 

For example: 

One syllable adjectives: Tall, Short, small, cute, thin, pretty, sad, wierd... etc. 
More than one syllable: beautiful, dangerous, disgusting, exciting, embarrasing... etc. 



Task 5 
Look at this video 

What do you think? 
Do you know somebody who looks-a-like a celebrity? 
What are the example of comparatives Wendy uses talking about Kanye West?

Superlatives

Hello Kids, My computer hasn't been fixed yet so I still have problems fixing the posts. This week's homework can be handed in untill next saturday (10-25-14) ok?
 Here is the activities to practice last class grammar and vocabulary.


Task 1
-Go to youtube and find the trailer of the best movie you've ever seen
-In THIS BLOG, in the comment part paste the link of the movie and write:
        1. What the movie is about.
        2. A description of the caracters (Use the adjectives seen in the class)
        3. Why it is your favorite movie. (*Go to the comment section to see an example.)

 In your notebooks, write 50 words for each the following titles: 
        1. The Scariest thing I've ever done.
        2. The most disgusting thing I've ever eaten.
        3. The most embarrasing thing I've ever done.

1.What is the wierdest thing you think they've sold on e-bay?
   E-bay is like "mercado libre" in the United States

2. Why is it the best film she's ever done? (look at the description box of the video).
